While I was down in the southwest corner of Kansas covering and shooting video of a big farm machinery auction yestreday (Dec. 17th), a similarly large farm machinery auction with TONS of great late-model equipment took place in the southwest corner of Kentucky. Check out a few sale price highlights:

    That planter.....the 1st used 48-row I've seen hit the auction market. I'm sure we'll see lots more to follow.

    * WOW: JD 2510 TRACTOR WITH 1ST SERIAL #! *
    I got an email from a farmer who happens to own this pair of tractors: a JD 2510 with the very 1st serial # of 2510's....and also an IHC 1206 with the very 1st serial #. I'll be making a trip to visit this farmer in the coming days to shoot some video of his unique pair of tractors. I'll post the video story here on Machinerypete.com, so check back.

    YESTERDAY (DEC. 17th) WAS QUITE A DAY FOR AUCTIONS
    Click on the blue link at the bottom of this page to read more from the southwest Kansas auction I covered yesterday (Dec. 17th). Above I detailed some prices from the southwest Kentucky auction yesterday. Great stuff. Also yesterday there was a HUGE dealer auction up in west-central Minnesota by Zielsdord Auction & Real Estate. I'll be adding that sale price data to our Machinerypete.com web site this morning. Busty time of year :-)

    ** PETE TO FILM FARM AUCTION IN NORTHERN ILLINOIS TOMORROW (DEC. 19th)
    I'll be in Walnut, IL to shoot video of a super farm retirement auction by Darryl Dahl. Lot of great late-model equipment on this sale. Going to attend the sale? Watch for me, I'll be the tall, goofy looking guy in the black "Machinery Pete" hat.

    NEW AUCTION VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS COMING SOON
    This weekend we should be catching up and posting video highlights from both the big Ritchie Brothers Auction in southeast Minnesota last Tuesday (Dec. 15th) and also the large auction in southwest Kansas yesterday (Dec. 17th). We'll also post video highlights from the northern Illinois sale tomorrow (Dec. 19th) early next week.
