1987 JD 6620 II combine with 3678 hours* NEW: FREE ONLINE CLASSIFIEDS HERE AT MACHINERYPETE.COM *
Trying to sell a piece of equipment? The goal is to get your item(s) for sale in front of as many eyeballs as possible, in front of folks interested in USED EQUIPMENT.....like folks visiting us at MACHINERYPETE.COM! Click on the "Classifieds" link from our menu on the left side of the screen. It's FREE! Just register and you can begin listing your equipment. You can upload up to 2 pictures of each piece of equipment. We had a glitch with the picture uploading last week, but all fixed now so you're good to go.
Why did we add a FREE ONLINE CLASSIFIEDS here at Machinerypete.com? Well, honestly we did it because I've thought for the last couple years now that there is a CRYING NEED for it. So, so, so many folks have called or emailed me over the years looking for help when it comes time to sell a piece of equipment or 2. "Pete, what's this thing worth? I feel good about the help our auction sale price data can provide, letting you know what your item is currently worth, but still........now you've got to sell it. So I've been asking folks...."how will you advertise it for sale?". Well over 90% of the time they answer..."I'll put an ad in the local paper." That's fine, but its just not good enough. You've put in the hard work of caring for that piece of equipment all these years. You want to receive as much as possible for it, right?.....So why when it comes time to sell should you only do the LOCAL paper ad? What you need is for folks OUTSIDE YOUR REGION to see your item for sale. Say you're in southeast Minnesota and you have a beautiful CaseIH 1680 combine with 1,400 hours for sale. You put ads in the 2 local ag papers, but guess what? No one in southeast Iowa, or central Wisconsin, northern Illinois, eastern Nebraska, or Manitoba, Canada gets those 2 local Minnesota ag papers........FOLKS IN THOSE AREAS WILL NEVER EVEN SEE YOUR BEAUTIFUL CASEIH 1680 FOR SALE!
That is why I created our new FREE ONLINE CLASSIFIEDS.....to help you when it comes time to sell. As our new "Classifieds" section grows, it will also of course develop into a great new place on the internet to LOOK FOR EQUIPMENT. How hard has it been the last few years to find really good condition used equipment? Not many auctions around compared to years past. From talking with folks from around North America every day for 20 years now, my experience tells me that used equipment buyers are more willing to look over a wider geographic area these days to find & buy exactly the item they're after. So take advantage of this trend and if it's time to sell, get your equipment listed here at MACHINERYPETE.COM in our FREE "Classifieds". Let me help you!
** WOW: 1983 AC 8070 MFWD TRACTOR SOLD FOR $32,000 YESTERDAY IN ILLINOIS *
Sullivan Auctioneers have been busy, busy, busy here right before Christmas 2009. Yesterday (Dec. 21st) on a sale in west-central Illinois they had sale featuring LOTS of AC equipment. I just entered the sale price data into our "auction results" section. Two pieces of equipment jumped out from this sale. The first you can see on today's headline above: "1990 CASEIH 1680 COMBINE WITH 2533 HOURS SOLD FOR $36,750". The other item on yesterday's sale to catch my eye?
1983 AC 8070 MFWD tractor with 3720 hours: $32,000How high is that? According to our sale price data, that is the highest sale price I've seen on an AC 8070 in over 13 years! I had to go all the way back to a sale in this same west-central Illinois area back on 11/16/96 to find a higher auction price.....that one back in 11/96 sold for $37,800. It was a 1984 model with only 1525 hours.
