GREAT FARM AUCTION IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS THURSDAY (JAN. 28TH)
My auctioneer friend Mike Maske has a very nice looking farm retirement auction tomorrow, Thursday January 28th in central Illinois. Here are a few items up for sale:

    Below are a few sale prices from a farm auction yesterday (Jan. 26th) in south-central Kansas. Some interesting HAY EQUIPMENT on this auction:

  • 1999 JD 566 round baler, fair: $10,200
  • JD 530 round baler, fair: $2,700
  • Deweze Roto Slicer: $4,900
  • Ogden 12-wheel rake, fair: $1,400
  • Krause 1900 disk, 24': $3,600

    That JD 566 round baler in "fair" condition sold for $10,200.....how does that stack up against other JD 566 round balers we've seen sold? Very well, even in "fair" condition. Could signal a slight upturn in values for used hay equipment....I'll be watching to see if this trend continues.
