CATCH MACHINERY PETE ON "LIVE" WEBCAST TONIGHT AT 6:30 PM CST
I'm down in St. Louis today (Feb. 16th), taking part in a really cool conference put on by Successful Farming magazine. It's the "Farmers for the Future" conference presented by the good folks at DeKalb. I'm on tap to speak tonight at 6:30 pm CST. You can actually watch "live" via internet streaming. Just to to this web site: http://farmersforthefuture.ning.com/ ( just copy this link into your browser) then you'll see the video player there to click on to watch. I'll follow Jeff Caldwell, Multimedia Editor for Successful Farming, so I should be on around 6:40-6:45 pm CST. I'll be touching on a couple points. One will be how I use Social Media for our Machinerypete.com business, so I'll talk about our Youtube videos and also how I try to utilize Twitter & Facebook. Then I'll shift into yakking about current trends in the used farm equipment market. Pretty interesting time weˇ¦re in right now. I'll identify & call out the main driving forces I see at work in the farm equipment market. I will highlight a string of recent farm auctions and we'll look at sale prices to get an accurate feel for what's happening right now with used farm equipment values. I'll close with some words of advice for young & beginning farmers, the focus of this unique conference. Hopefully at the end we can do some fun "Q&A" stuff....you're chance to ask Machinery Pete your machinery questions. Should be a lot of fun. I hope you can join us on the "live" internet feed. If not, I think the video session will be archived, so you go to http://farmersforthefuture.ning.com/ tomorrow, the next day or next week to watch the session.
